ASTM Scale Calibration Weight Sets
Applications
Used to test commercial weighing devices by weights & measures officials and service technicians. Class 5–7 weights may be used to test most accuracy Class III scales and Class IIIL or IIII scales. Appropriate for weighing applications such as force measuring.
Construction
Scale calibration weights (grip handle, slotted) are Cast Iron. Weight hangers, stem is 303 Stainless Steel, base is Cast Iron or Stainless Steel. Test Weights (cylindrical, slotted, hooked) are 303 Stainless Steel and weights ≤500mg, ≤0.005lb, are Aluminum.
Design Features
Cast iron scale calibration weights ≤50kg, ≤100lb, are grip handle. Weights ≥100kg, ≥200lb, are block design for lifting with hook. Stainless steel test weights ≥1g, ≥0.01lb, are cylindrical. Weights ≤500mg, ≤0.005lb, are flat with one end turned up.
