All Cal-Pak weights are manufactured using Troemner Alloy 8 and meets or exceeds ASTM Class 1 requirements. Included with your Cal-Pak is a Troemner ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate.

Repeatability—The small weight is sized for <=5% of the balance capacity for easy repeatability testing. Repeatability results are then used to calculate the minimum weight needed on the balance to meet a particular level of accuracy in a specific environment. This is used in countless industries including highly regulated applications.

Accuracy Testing—Performed with the larger weight and sized between 5% and maximum capacity of the balance. This larger test load helps determine the systematic error.

Span Calibration—The larger weight in the Cal-Pak can be used to periodically perform a span calibration on your balance. This is important to maintain high accuracy weighing when the environmental conditions change such as temperature or humidity.

Traceability

The precision weights in your Cal-Pak are traceable to internationally recognized standards through an exacting series of measurements that provide an accurate value for each weight with low uncertainty. Troemner’s NVLAP (Lab Code 105013-0) Certificate provides evidence that the process for the measurement traceability chain meets the stringent requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
